Hello and Welcome parents and guardians,
Welcome to Arrow Liberation Academy where great things are happening. My name is Angela Alva and I am your child’s 3rd grade Reading, Writing, and Social Studies teacher. I am excited and eager to begin this wonderful educational journey with your child and I look forward to working with you this school year. At Arrow Academy, we believe in building relationships and the best way to do that is by getting to know one another. So, let me tell you a little about myself.
I am a native Houstonian who enjoys every aspect of our city. I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. I am a fan of all Houston teams (Texans, Astros, and Rockets). I graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Early Childhood Education. I began my education career eighteen years ago and this will be my tenth-year teaching at Liberation Academy.
I chose education as a career path because I truly enjoy teaching and watching children grow as learners. As a kindergarten teacher, I had the opportunity to set the academic foundation for many of my students and I took great pride in my role. As a 3rd grade teacher, I look forward to working with you as we inspire our students to grow academically. So, as we embark on this learning path, I hope to continue to positively impact our students desire for learning.
